HiSky is expanding its fleet with one more Airbus

HiSky announces a new contract with Air Lease Corporation - a leading company on the aviation leasing market, with an investment portfolio of over 22 billion USD. This is the dry-lease acquisition of the third aircraft in the HiSky fleet.

The A320 airbus was assembled in 2014 and will be delivered in April 2021.

“We are pleased to announce this agreement to deliver our third Airbus A320 family aircraft to HiSky,” said David Beker, Senior Vice President and Head of Aircraft Sales & Trading at Air Lease Corporation. “This young A320 will be joining HiSky’s all-ALC leased fleet of A319/A320 aircraft. Our team is honored that the leadership of HiSky has chosen to collaborate exclusively with ALC to launch their airline this year under challenging circumstances and we believe HiSky is well positioned for long term growth and success.”

The third aircraft that will be added to the HiSky fleet has 180 seats and will be registered in Romania as YR-BEE.

“We are pleased with the progress of our operations and the response we have received in our core markets. Recently, we have launched the sales for the flights from our base in Chisinau, Moldova, and now we are a week away from starting the flight operations from our second base - Cluj, Romania. We are grateful to Air Lease Corporation, our reliable partner, which has adequate solutions and expertise to support our development”, said Commander Iulian Scorpan, the HiSky CEO.

We remind that HiSky has two other aircraft in its fleet - an Airbus A320 registered with YR-SKY in Romania and an Airbus A319 registered with ER-SKY in Moldova.
