Discounted Airline Tickets to 12 Destinations in Europe and the USA HiSky launches its first discount campaign of the year

HiSky is starting the year with seven days of substantial discounts on travel tickets, on all operated routes. Among the cities where Romanians can travel at a reduced price, with a direct flight from Bucharest, is also the newest destination launched by HiSky, New York, JFK. The campaign period is Thursday, January 25 – Wednesday, January 31, and the travel period subject to the promotion is February 1 – October 26. 

Passengers can select as their departure airport, any of the five airports from which the airline operates flights in Romania. Thus, trips from and to Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara, Iași, and Baia Mare are available at promotional prices, starting at 39.99 euros per flight segment.

For a ticket on the most anticipated route, on which the company will start direct operations in June, Bucharest-New York, passengers will pay a reduced price of only 299.99 euros. Destinations in Europe, departing from Bucharest, can be accessed with prices starting from 54.99 euros/segment for Barcelona, Brussels, and Dublin, 59.99 euros for Bordeaux, and 64.99 euros for Malaga. Romanians who want to attend the European Football Championship in Germany can book flights to Frankfurt during the promotion period for 59.99 euros, and for flights to Tel Aviv, which will resume in February, the ticket price starts at 49.99 euros. Also, passengers who want to travel quickly in Romania, this year, on the two domestic routes, Bucharest – Cluj Napoca and Bucharest – Timișoara, can do so, at the lowest rate available in the promotion, of only 39.99 euros, a rate also applied to travels between Bucharest and the capital of the Republic of Moldova, Chișinău. From Cluj, passengers can fly with HiSky to New York for 329.99 euros, a fare that includes the connection in Bucharest, and to Dublin from 49.99 euros. Passengers from Iași can reach Ireland for the same price, and for a Baia Mare – Paris flight, prices start from 54.99 euros.

“In aviation, good planning is essential. This is a rule that we, in the industry, apply religiously and one that we want to share with our passengers. We want these discount campaigns, which we run in January, to meet them exactly when they are setting up their vacations for the year. Booking in advance means less hassle with finding available places in certain peak periods and, obviously, a much lower ticket cost. The promotion also has two elements that I am sure will become the main attractions, direct flights to New York and travels during the summer period, when usually the price of tickets is much above average. Thus, after a year in which we traveled together with 1.6 million passengers, we are ready to surpass this record and to continue to keep all the promises we make to those who choose to fly with us,” said Iulian Scorpan, CEO of HiSky.

Last year, the airline climbed to the fourth position in the ranking of the largest operators at the airports in Romania, after the national company and the two most important low-cost operators. After the entry into the fleet, in December, of the first wide-body aircraft, an Airbus A330, the company reached a number of eight operated aircraft and a total capacity of over 1500 available seats.
