HiSky reaches 10 regular destinations from Otopeni Airport Bucharest – Frankfurt route available from December

In the winter season, passengers choosing a flight from Bucharest to Germany will have more travel options. Frankfurt is the newest destination that HiSky is adding to its flight schedule, from Henri Coandă International Airport in Bucharest. The first flight is scheduled to take place on December 17th, and tickets are already available in the company's reservation system. According to the published schedule, the flight will be operated three times a week, departing from Bucharest to Frankfurt and return on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, with the price of a trip starting from 79 euros per leg.

With the launch of the new route, the airline now reaches 10 destinations operated from Bucharest, with Germany becoming the seventh country passengers can reach from Bucharest, on a HiSky flight. By choosing this airport for the creation of a new air link, the company aims to offer an alternative to passengers whose final destination is the metropolis in western Germany, as well as to those who use this important node for connections to more distant destinations. With over 70 million passengers annually, Frankfurt am Main (FRA) is the largest airport in Germany and ranks fourth in the list of Europe's busiest airports.

"As our passengers are already accustomed, we start each season with a few new destinations. For December, reservations for Bordeaux have already begun, and we are now adding the Frankfurt destination, with the inaugural flight the same week. Frankfurt is an airport we know well, having operated successfully from Chisinau for over two years. Several factors have influenced the decision to open this destination from Bucharest. Firstly, the limited direct flight options, secondly, the large community of Romanians living in the area, and not lastly, the fact that Frankfurt is a significant European hub, offering connecting flights to all major global destinations.", said Iulian Scorpan, HiSky CEO.

Since the inauguration of the hub in Bucharest, Henri Coandă Airport has become HiSky's main operational base. According to passenger numbers, the airline ranks fourth among operators at this airport. From Bucharest, passengers can travel with HiSky on eight regular international routes to Tel Aviv, Brussels, Barcelona, Malaga, Dublin, Chisinau, Bordeaux, and Frankfurt, and two domestic routes, to Cluj Napoca and Timișoara. In Romania, the airline also operates regular flights from airports in Iași, Baia Mare, Cluj Napoca, and Timișoara, as well as charter flights in partnership with leading travel agencies.
